Hello Hampton Roads,
Thinking about how far the dollar stretches, I thought it would be a fun exercise to see what $1 million dollars buys in Hampton Roads today!
Looking at the 7 cities, I used the following criteria:
The search turned up 37 homes with 27 in Virginia Beach. The rest were divided among the other cities with 1 each in Suffolk and Hampton, 3 in Norfolk and 5 in Chesapeake.
For other criteria such as size, number of bedrooms/bathrooms, year built and DOM (days on the market), please see the chart below.

- Current listing price between $950,000.00 - $1,100,000.00
The search turned up 37 homes with 27 in Virginia Beach. The rest were divided among the other cities with 1 each in Suffolk and Hampton, 3 in Norfolk and 5 in Chesapeake.
